Specialist Property Advice, Brighton

Tim Parnell joined us in 2008 from a local Brighton building consultancy and has extensive experience in surveying and property having previously worked for national practices based in London and working throughout the UK.

The building surveying department works in close association with the property management and planning teams to provide advice and input for a wide range of projects and to an equally diverse range of clients, from tenant management companies to rural estates, property owners and residential lessees.

Keeping up-to-date with an increasing legislation, regulation and changing technology, dedication is essential for our staff to provide sound advice in what has become a procedural minefield for property owners and occupiers. The department can guide you through the necessary requirements to adapt, update, expand and maintain your property in the most effective manner, including planning approvals, building regulations, listing and conservation area consents, ‘hands-on’ project management, cost planning and dealing with neighbourly matters.

We work with a number of residential associations to advise on strategic and planned property maintenance, giving cost certainty and efficiency to clients, allowing budgets to be set and carefully controlled, and managing projects to minimise disruption and delay.

The department can act in dilapidations claims, party wall disputes, provide detailed reports on building defects, undertake valuations for insurance purposes and offers experience and services which can be tailored to your needs. Working together with colleagues in planning and property management with can provide integrated strategic advice for your buildings, backed up by a national team of recognised experts across the property field.
